  1. i like the side that gets the pitching, unless you are stacked at pitching. Quality pitchers are so hard to find. Kazmir is good, Wagner is doing better, and Bedard can only get BETTER. OF is the easiest position to replace, because there are sooooo many of them that are good enough to start on a fantasy team

there are not that many pitchers, especially at this point in the season, that you can pickup

  2. I think the trade favors the person receiving the Kazmir/Bedard. I think Adrian Gonzalez's trade value is only going to go down. Scott Kazmir is a great pitcher, even though he has been shaky over his last few starts, and Bedard has been really hot going into the Allstar break and could have a repeat performance of last year.  If he still has solid hitting after trading Quentin and Gonzalez, I think he should make the trade.

  3. Do not do that, Bedard is terrible and hurt and Wagner has the most blown saves of any closer.

  4. I would prefer to have Quentin, Gonzalez, and Baker.  Unless you need the saves, this is the clear upside.  Kazmir is a solid pitcher but its almost always wise to get the best batters in the deal.  Both Gonzalez and Quentin have been highly touted prospects and both seem to be putting it all together this year.  And while Bedard is good when he starts, he's a pansy and plays for Seattle.  Take the bats!

  5. This depends entirely on your needs. If you need the bats, take the Quentin/A-Gonz side. They're sure to beef up the HR's and RBI's. If you need pitching, take the other side. At face value I'd have to go with the Quentin side. Those two hitters are solid and I believe that all three of those players are on the rise. Kazmir is a solid pitcher, but Wagner is prone to the occasional blow-up and Bedard is just not the guy he was last year. Sure, Bedard could  turn it around, but we are more than half way through the season and he has yet to show signs of improving.
