Fantasy Football (08) Third pick in draft?

Question

In my fantasy football league, I have the third pick in the draft. The first pick is LT, and the 2nd is going to Westbrook. Who should I choose with the 3rd pick? I'm considering either Adrian Peterson, Joseph Addai, or even Tom Brady. Please help!

Well i had third pick in my draft i did today and i picked Adrian Peterson you are right LT did go first obviously and second pick for my draft was Brett Favre for some reason who would pick favre 2nd overall of the whole draft but yea i would go with Adrian Peterson !

good question. i dont think brady will put up as large of numbers this year so i would go with the choice of a rb. So i would take adrian peterson over adai in the third.

AP would be the popular pick here. And not a bad pick at all. Has huge potential this year but he'll still be splitting carries and still has durability questions around him. With Addai, he's on a throw first team, but you know he'll be getting the carries and has a great O line to run behind, even if he isn't the most talented back (just my opinion). I wouldn't take Brady. I think he'll come back down to earth this year. Him and Manning will probably do about what Manning did last year, which doesn't really warrant the 3rd overall pick in my opinion. And then there's Steven Jackson, who is a really talented player, but has TONS of questions coming into this year. He's got the contract situation, the bad team thing going against him, and he's gotta worry if Bulger and Holt can stay healthy to keep opposing teams honest. Not to mention the STL defense will probably be just as bad this year, which means lots of throwing cause they'll be playing from behind. Man, I just don't like picks 2 through 5 this year. Too many questions for the guys going there. If I were you, I'd try to trade down if possible and try to land Marion Barber. I really think he's gonna be awesome this year, getting the majority of carries and the TDs. If you can't trade and you can't see yourself taking Barber that high, which is understandable, I would go with AP. His potential is much greater than Barber's. Heck, maybe even greater that LT, but he is not a sure thing. Of course he wasn't last year either and look what happened. Just depends on how much risk you can stomach.

you have to go with peterson or addai. there are only so many quality backs in the league while you will not be sacrificing too many points if you wait to take a qb. if you do not get a stud back you have no chance this season

i would take Brady  ... hes not gonna put up the same numbers as last yr but he'll still put up monster numbers

The traditional logic is to draft an RB in the first round. But I've found that there are usually plenty of quality RBs, so I try to get the very best QB in the first round, in this case Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.
