Fantasy Football - 16 teams too much?

Starting a fantasy football league with my friends and I'm wondering if 16 teams are too much. I figured the players would be too spread out. Is 16 teams ok? At the moment I'm thinking 2 leagues of 8 but I'd like to do the 16 player league if possible. How was your experience w/ 16? Fun? No fun?

lop sided?

what happened when someone in the league quit? did it affect the game a lot? how much more does it affect the game if someone quits in a 8 player league?

First time playing also.

Thanks.

  1. There are many problems with 16 teams

    1) Not enough running backs in the league to be picked. With 16 teams (in a 2 r-back needed league) the backups will be taken for your bench

    2) Draft would be really boring. Too much time between picks

    3) Last couple of rounds you guys will be picking people you've never heard of or people who don't get much playing time anyways

  2. to many teams. by the last round of ur draft, you will be picking people you have never heard of

  3. it'll be fine but confusing and more time involved

  4. 16 teams is way to many.  Rosters get to thin and waivers and trades are less likely.  Not fun at all.  You're better of doing a 10 team league, 12 at the most.  When people quit, the league owner can usually take control of the team.  Never had someone quit on a league before.

Stay away from a 16 team league.  It sucks.

  5. I have found 10 teams to be perfect. 12 at most and 8 at least but 10 is perfect.
