Fantasy Football Draft Strategy

League of 12, I got the last pick

After a few pre-draft trades, I now have the 10th and 12th picks in Round 1.

I am being offered a chance to trade up from 10 to pick #7, and most likely I will accept.

My question is this: seeing that my first three picks would be picks 7, 12, and 27 would it be better for me to take Tom Brady at 7 if I had the opportunity or should I go RB-RB at 7 and 12 and take a QB later in the draft?

At 7, the players most likely to be there are Marion Barber, Frank Gore, Tom Brady, Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson, and maybe Steven Jackson (hold-out)

thanks

  1. there arent enough good RB to take one after pick 3 so go QB at 7 and make a statement at 12 then go johnathon stewart at 27 or sumthin like that unless edge is available, he will be good

  2. take manning, bradley will be long gone.   you can gamble that he will be there at 12.

If interest in an additional league, Im looking for teams. Two starting QBs and Live draft. A little different touch but not too much.

    To find:

FOX published free leagues, head to head, live draft, 12 teams. Name Aaron Farve on Waivers, Aug 14, 7:30pm

Yahoo Custom Free leagues, head to head, live draft, 12 teams. Name Sheephead Players, Tuesday Aug 12, 7:30pm.

  3. With 12 teams, I'd go RB-RB and look for a QB later... Pickings are gonna get slim real quickly, and in most leagues you need to start 2 RBs, whereas you only need 1 productive QB any given week.

  4. i would go randy moss at 7 and ryan grant at 12
