Question:

Fantasy Football. Good middle round running backs?

I'm curious to get your thoughts on who you will be targeting as good running back values in the middle rounds of your 2008 fantasy draft this year.

I am keeping a QB, and should be able to draft Stephen Jackson w/ the #2 pick of my 10 man league. I'm sure that all of the stud Running Backs will be off the board by the time it swings back to me so I'm probably going to take 2 WR's or WR and Jason Witten in the 3rd round.

So I'm looking for a couple of good back options (this will be my #2 back behind Jackson) at picks 38 & 42.

I'm looking for someone that may fly under the radar, and who has big upside. Love to hear your thoughts on who you'd take and why.

  1. u can surely get brandon jacobs for ur second pick. hes on a contract year and bradshaw doesnt seem to be a threat right now. i have jacobs on my team. u should def try to get him.

but some RBs that are ranked low are.. turner (make sure u get norwood tho if u get him), stewart, mcfadden, kevin smith, julius jones.. etc

if i were you, i would try my best to first see if theres any top-tier RB left for 2nd round before going with a WR.

  2. Thomas Jones NYJ. He had a horrible year last season but his o-line has improved and he's a good RB.

Brandon Jacobs NYG - If he's there grab him. He was injured for parts of 2007 so he may fall in drafts.

Reggie Bush NO. - He has to live up to his potential at some point no? Deuce is coming off another ACL surgery he's all but done.

Lendale White TEN. Everyone is calling last season's #'s a fluke. I don't think they were. Tennessee is a run first team with a good o-line. He will see alot of touches.

  3. fred taylor but i would give michel turner a chance now that hes a starter. Darren McFadden

  4. michael turner should definately be on the list he is expected to carry 250-300 times in the run heavy ATL offense. also look at matt forte now that benson is out of the picture. Also Kevin smith is probably gonna be a starter for the giants. Also thomas jones is a good pic, New York has a promising o-line and as they improve so will thomas.

  5. First of all I would not draft Witten w/  a 20something pick!  Here are RBs to look at:

    Grant

    Lewis

    L.Johnson

    T. Jones

    Here are sleeper WRs:

    Marshall

    Engram

    A.Gonzalez

  6. In my opinion, I believe Jonathan Stewart and Fred Taylor fly way under the radar, Stewart could have a chance to start in the middle of this year and Taylor could give you 800-100 yds and 5-7 td's this year...they are great value picks....hopes this helps
