  1. Edwards is your definate must (he is young and will only get better).  Besides that I would say Grant.  The RB position is always the most valuable.  If he comes close to the production he put up at the end of last year he would be a great value.  Although thats obviously a big if.  Still those two would be my keepers.

  2. Keep Edwards and Fitzgerald. They are your two best players.

  3. Hi balony5,

There are normally plenty of QBs to go around on draft day so I would limit your consideration to the RB and WR positions.  Of the WRs you have listed Edwards and Fitzgerald are the best two, so the question is which of these players will put up the better numbers in 2008.

Fitzgerald is definitely a stud who puts up monster numbers, but his problem is that he has another guy opposite of him who is just as good (Boldin).  Because of Boldin, his numbers won't be as good as they would be with a lesser WR on the other side.

Edwards has been improving year after year and there is no reason to believe that he won't improve again this year.  Derek Anderson came out of nowhere last year and was very, very consistent, so the chemistry should be back and better than in 2007.  You can't go wrong with Edwards as your first keeper.

Both Grant and McGahee put up similar numbers in 2007 if you look at their fantasy point output per game; Grant came in at 11. 2 and McGahee had 12.4.  Both RBs seem to be the unquestioned starter entering the 2008 season so you're really looking at a toss-up.  All things being equal, I'd probably go with the younger of the two in Grant.

Grant has three main advantages I can thing of: he's younger, doesn't have the injury concerns that McGahee has, and will be relied on heavily because of a young QB under center.  Rodgers is good enough that defenses won't stack the line, so Grant should have some decent running lanes.

I currently have Grant listed at 9th among all RBs with McGahee at 13th.  If you click on the link in my source list you can see my full RB rankings.  On my site you can also create your own NFL player rankings using drag and drop, then generate a printable cheat sheet to take to your fantasy draft.  It's free.
