Fantasy Football Premier League: How Do I Start?

Question

I'm playing this game this year with some friends, and I have no idea how to even start with it. I don't know much about the sport but I just want to have some fun here. It looks like Salary Cap Football for the U.S., but I have no idea of good strategies or good ways to play this. Can someone help me get started?

Oh, my friend, if you don't know the player, you will have a tough time to play this game, I am playing every year, hey, want give me you league #? Ok, here is the point: try to buy the guy who can score!! and get the defense guy from some better team, because they can give you the win more often.

1. Do not buy Christiano Ronaldo for a while, he is out until November!!! Ronaldo is most expensive one, so hold off.....

2. obviously when you try to buy player, all the stats you see is from the last season, but those stats will help you determine who to buy. i.e. who sore more goal, had more assist, had more shot...
