[When the season starts] How do I start a Fantasy Football (american) team or whatever?

Best sites would be ESPN.com, Sportsline.com, FOXSports.com, Yahoo, and NFL.com.  Merely sign up, name your team and join a league.  I would recommend a league that begins in mid August during Preseason so you have time to get a feel for the players you want and a handle on the draft..  This also prevents picking someone too early who gets injured in preseason..

To get a feel for the game, try sportsline.com/fantasy and play one of their Mock Drafts.  Its good practice for your Draft and you can see where players are being taken.  You can also chat with other players practicing and gain more info for you league.  Good luck with it.

You can go to a lot of websites to set up your league, you can use yahoo, espn, cbssportsline are all free, you will go in set up your league name and the rules and as you do this it will give you recommendations on what to do. After that you will chose how you want to do your draft then it will keep score for you. I would recommend doing it in late august, early september.
