i have the last pick in my draft and it is the #10&11 pick. Should i go with two RBs (portis, barber, lynch, gore) any combo of the two OR one of those RBs and Randy Moss? If i go RB/RB then in the next 2 rounds (pick30&31) i will go WR/WR and if i go RB/WR then i will go RB/WR. which option is better?

  1. Go Gore/Portis....... cause there are too many WR's that are starters and produce great fantasy points........ not many RB's that don't share half there downs.....Plus dem boys are from ( THE U ) !!!!!!!! GO CANES!!!!!!!!

  2. Frank Gore/Randy Moss, especially if JT O'Sullivan stats for the 49ers over Alex SMith to give San Fran a more balanced attack.

  3. I usually go RB/RB in past drafts, but I've read alot this yr about how teams are going to RB by committee and that hurts FF output.  This yr I went WR/WR first in 2 leagues and RB/RB  first in 1 league.  My two WR/WR look to be real strong -one has T.O., Braylen Edwards, and Greg Jennings as my starters.  Also, I found that by doing that  I can pick up solid RBs in the 3rd or 4th rounds-like portis or j.lewis or j.jones.  They won't be game breakers, but they provide consistent #s and carry the load a little more than some others.

Of course this is an experiment that I'm trying this yr.  so we'll see in about 18 wks.

  4. In my opinion i suggest you go RB/RB. Randy Moss is tempting, but teams will be sure to double cover him this year..and I doubt he will be at pick 10. Plus your team will probably look like this :

1st Round :Randy Moss/Barber or Lynch or Gore        WR/RB

    2nd Round : Plaxico Burress/Thomas Jones...                      WR/RB

Decent, but not as consistent then if you were to go

    1st Round :Barber/Gore or Lynch          RB/RB

    2nd Round:Plaxico Burress/Steve Smith         WR/WR

Basically the first scenario I proposed is projected to get 49 points/week

as opposed to 60 points/week with the second scenario.

Overall, this is fantasy, so anything can happen..but if i were you I would go for RB/RB because not only are they projected to get more points, but RBs are always guaranteed to get carries, unless they are injured.

  5. Portis/Moss.

  6. Personally I'd go RB-RB (Portis + Barber, if they're still around at #10 & #11).  RB's are only one starter to a team, whereas WR's have 2 or 3 starters out there on each play.  RB's will go fast, so you've gotta get them while you can.

You're looking at getting Houshmanzadeh, Burress, Welker or Holt in the #30 & #31 position.  None of these are bad.

Don't forget about a QB either.  Only one starter per team and they can be valuable producers.  Decent QBs are few and far between.
