Fantasy Football Trade? (Owens, Peyton)?

Question

Someone has offered to trade me Peyton Manning for my Terrel Owens.

For QB's I have Drew Brees and Eli Manning

For WR's Lee Evans, Hines Ward, Tedd Ginn Jr., and Bernard Berrian

So should I take it?

h**l no. you already have Drew Brees so you dont need Peyton

Drew Brees is rated in the same tier as Peyton Manning.  I don't see much upside for you in the deal.

A couple of things to consider:

1. Manning is coming off knee surgery, and may not play Week One, or may be limited.

2. Jeff Saturday, anchor of the Colts line is likely gone half the season.

3. Your remaining WRs are inconsistent and streaky at best.  Owens is a steady TD a week, often more.

4. Brees has a much easier schedule than Manning.

5. Marvin Harrison is still a question mark for Manning.

Stick with what you have.  Owens is a terrific weapon for you.

Manning is coming off of injury and Brees should produce similar, if not bette, numbers than Manning.  You cant really give up Owens either...you have decent WR's, but none of them dominate like Owens.

i would only take this if you could flip manning or brees for two solid receivers to make up for owens.

I would not take this deal.  This knee issue for Peyton is a concern - it was supposed to be "no big deal" and he's gotten little to no time to get ready for the season.  The offense line is getting older as is the whole team.  A down year is not unlikely for the Colts and Manning.  Now a down year could still make him a Top 5 fantasy QB but you'll get solid numbers from Brees so you have no desperate need for QB.

At WR you would get a lot weaker losing TO, a regular no-brainer start every week - probably your only one.

We'd recommend turning this offer down.

I wouldn't i think Brees will have a good year and T.O is just too valuable to give up.

Yea dont accept this, you already have a Top 5 QB in Brees and Manning is another Starting Fantasy QB. you need TO cause your not extremely strong at WR. Evans And Ward are solid but Ginn is a toss up, and Berrian. . .Who knows whats gonna happen with Jackson throwing to him. Dont do it.
