Fantasy Football Trade.?

If you had the 1st pick in a draft of 10 other owners, what would you give up for your second and third pick (20 and 21). I have the last pick in the draft and am considering trading my first or second pick for pick 20 and 21 hoping to get better value.

What I hope to get:

10 ( or 11) 20, 21, 30, 31 (or some better variation)

What I have:

10,11,30,31

Serious thoughts and insight please.....

  1. I wouldn't consider doing this at all. Basically, you're allowing the guy with the #1 pick to move up nine slots for his 2nd pick at the cost of moving his #3 pick to someone off the FA list at the end of the draft. There will always be someone worth picking up at the 20, 21 slots. The value of the #11 pick compared to #20 can't be worth losing up a sure starter at 21 for one of the dregs left at the end of the draft. Great for you, terrible for your trading partner.

  2. I don't believe anyone will go for that trade (a 10 or 11 for 20 and 21), if they do that would be a good pick up for you. I would focus on a middle of the pack guy (picks 4 through 6) if I wanted to trade down for more middle level picks.

It really depends on the level of player available at 10, whether anyone will trade at that time. Sometimes you can get a sucker who is loyal to their team and get something for that.

Your best bet in FF is to get the best talent you can and try to trade before the season is here to refine your team. I would look for diamonds in the rough in later rounds and see if I can get the next wes welker. I think Jordy Nelson may be that guy this year (depending on where he is on the depth chart you maybe able to pick him up after the draft). Good Luck!!
