Question:

Fantasy Football drafting questions?

Hi all,

I'm not new to FF, but I've been out of the loop for a while. I started mock drafting at fantastyfootballcalculator.com and it's pretty fun, but there's a few players I don't know much about.

1. Earnest Graham: decent stats, but nobody takes him before the 4th round. Why not? He did better than Gore, Maroney, Portis, Parker, and a whole bunch of other RB's.

2. Same question, LenDale White.

3. Nate Burleson and Patrick Crayton had stellar WR years, but they're also never taken before the 9th round. Something I should know about them?

Thanks in advance.

  1. 1. Earnest Graham did have a decent year, but he was not drafted because Cadillac Williams was the starter, and expected to have a great year, until he got injured, of course.

Second string  was Michael Pittman. So Graham was a sleeper that came from 3rd string and broke out.

    2. LenDale White was going to split time at RB with Brown last year, and with Vince Young's running ability it would be hard for White to rack up the kind of stats needed to be of fantasy value.

If he was going to be the feature back with 30 carries a game, it would have been different.

    3. Patrick Crayton is the #3 receiver for the Cowboys behind T.O. and Terry Glenn.

Not many people are going to draft the #3 receiver behind T.O. when they can get a #1 or 2 from a different team.

Yes, he had a big year, but only because Glenn's injury held him out last season.

No one expected Crayton to do much, and although he had big numbers in some games, in others he was useless.

As far as Burleson goes, I don't really see where he did all that great a job.

He had 694 yard last season.

And has only had one 1,000 yard season in his six year career.

694 yards and 9 touchdowns doesn't make me wish I would have drafted him at all.
