  1. Burress is a MUCH better FANTASY player at this point. Ward isn't even the best WR on his own team any more (S. Holmes is)

  2. Burress is mini-Manning's "go-to" guy while Ward is just one cog in the Steelers' offensive machine. Burress is a much better option than Hines 86.

  3. Burress is the better player to have.

    1. He's younger than Ward.  Ward is 32, and his production and health have declined each of the last two seasons.

1A. Burress had his excellent season despite a badly sprained ankle all year.

    2. Ward faces stiff competition from a compentent running game, Heath Miller and Santonio Holmes.

    3. Burress is clearly Manning's go-to red zone receiver.  Shockey was basically gone last year.  Kevin Boss is not going to dent his production.

The only potential negative or risk with Plaxico is that he's unhappy with his contract.  It's unlikely he'll hold out, but it's out there...

  4. Plaxico is better for fantasy

  5. Burress definately

  6. I have to agree with the other... Hines is one of my fav. players in the NFL, but pure numbers show that Plexi glass is the way to go...

  7. burres beacause ward is ageing and he has competition in homes burres is manning # 1 go to guy

  8. Ward is more consistent and will survive the entire season.

  9. Looks like I'm going against the crowd but Ward will be the better value for the upcoming season... for 2 reasons.

    1) He has more consistant numbers. Maybe not 200yrds and 4 tds but Burress tends to do really well one week and poorly the next, which can cost you games if you play head-to-head.

    2) With Shockey gone, Buress isn't just the number one option he's the only option in NY and defenses will most likely double cover him and blitz Manning, forcing short passes out of the back feild and slants & hitches  to the WRs.

It all depends on how your team is constructed. If you have a good WR core then go with Ward, But if you need some one to put up ridiculus numbers every few weeks go with Burress...

  10. Burress! By a long shot! Gets better every year. Ward gets fewer receptions.
