  2. Apparently everyone else so far that has answered this question knows who you would be getting, but I am very confused. I would much rather have Matt Forte and Patrick Crayton. Brett Favre will be very good, yes, but Matt Forte will be the starting RB (Kevin Jones is way too injury prone), and Crayton is now the number 2 receiver (no. 3 option with Witten), but it's no comparison. If you can afford to trade Crayton and Forte, don't do it for someone you don't need. Maybe throw in another player and try to improve in one certain position all together. Good luck

  3. Heck no. Do some more searching

  4. everybody forgets that in 2005 and 2006, Favre had less than terrific years, in which he was on the waiver wire (in most leagues) most of the year, and was even a gamble as a bye-week fill-in. last year, at age 38, he had what even he calls the most talented group of offensive weapons he had ever had. that's not to knock the year he had, but i don't think this Jets team is at the same level (although i do think they're fairly talented).

so to answer your question, with Manning, it's reasonable to expect him to play 16 games, meaning you need a backup one time all year. and i think in Week 4 you'll be able to find a QB with a favorable matchup and go back to carrying one QB the rest of the year. my guess is that you'll use Crayton more than once, making it worthwhile even if Forte flops. and you know Forte's a starter. if he has even a decent 2-game stretch, you can sell high and improve in another area.

i would make this trade in a heartbeat. 2 of Favre's first 3 games are against NE and SD. then you use him Week 4 (vs. Arizona), and then try to deal him. but if he struggles early, what will you be able to get for him? a lot less than what you can get now. do it!

  5. No.  Hold out and try to fill a weaker spot on your roster.  Favre will be good in NY, so waight until someone needs a QB after the season starts and get a better option.
