Would dropping Kevin Boss and picking up Vernon Davis be a good idea? (My No.1 TE is Chris Cooley)

  1. No, Boss is now "the" TE in NY.  Since Shockey is gone, Boss will be playing all the time and not sharing any of the load.  Eli likes his TEs, plus you have Cooley as your starting TE, either way you'll be fine.

  2. Boss is now clearly the starter in NY with Shockey gone keep him.  But Cooley will SHOULD always be in your TE slot anyways unless its a bye week for the skins so it really doesnt matter.

  3. while Boss & VD are both startable TEs and solid bye-week options, why bother carrying an extra TE? you're wondering who to hang onto for one game in early NOVEMBER! if a solid TE is available now, there will be someone out there when you need one, whether it's Week 10 or in the event that Cooley gets injured.

pick up an extra RB. if all decent backup RBs are taken, take a flyer on a WR (rookie or unproven youngster waiting for his chance- Hardy, Doucet, Meachem, DeSean Jackson or Chad Jackson) or even a QB in-waiting like Leinart or Brady Quinn. heck, i'd rather have Brady or Manning's backup (Cassel or Sorgi) than a backup TE.

  4. Yes. Vernon Davis is going to be good this year. They throw him little 10 yard passes, so expect a lot of yards out of him and 4-6 TD's.

  5. Stay with Boss.  Davis is very injury prone and the 49ers offense is not a scheme that favors TE's.

I expect big things from Boss, now that Shockey is gone.

    Good luck!

  6. No

  7. yes do it
