Fantasy baseball team in trouble!!!?

Question

This is my worst team besides a midseason draft team that was auto picked. I'm 49-67-4 and in 8th out of 12. I'm not trying to get it back up to the top 3 but atleast playoffs.

1b- Justin Morneau

2b- Dan Uggla

3b- Joe Crede

ss- Jimmy Rollins

Of- Carl Crawford, Carlos Gomez, Alex Rios

Util- Mike Jacobs

Bn- Yunel Escobar, Michael Bourn, Jeff Francoeur

Sp- Brandon Webb, Andy Sonnanstine, Justin Masterson, Chad Billingsley

Rp- Scott Downs, Mike Gonzales, C.J Wilson.

Pending trade. I get Juan Pierre and Micah Owings, I send Clayton Kershaw and drop Johnny Cueto.

I also have Francoeur dropping for David Murphy

And dropped cueto to let that trade go through. Thoughts?

dont drop cueto! ....hes having a better season the owings. also you need a couple more SP like wellemeyer. look do this every week go to players put last week totals and pick up the player thatr had the best stats that will help your team.

you need a C 3B and better OF. Drop Bourn because you got Gomez for SB and pick up Elijah Dukes  or jose bautista .Both of them are on fire.But try to get more pitchers.you should only have 2 bn players in offense.

Good Pitchers to pick up are=Manny Parra , Josh Lannan,Dave Bush ,and Mark Buehrle

U need to put all your eggs in one basket.

Try packaging a starter and bencher for someone elses better starter....(2 inferior players for 1 superior player.)

Like---Bourn+Crede for Wright,M.Cabrera,or A.Ramirez...

Murphy is a keeper.I'd also offer Crawford+Escobar for Matt Holliday.(Target proven big name players that aren't hot..

Buy low,sell high.) Offencive benches are very over rated.

Make a couple trades like this,if possible,until you have no offencive bench left.Replace your open roster spots with SPs,and/or closers.The SP/closer positions is where I think you should have all your "eggs",because you can beat your opponent in these categories by simply out numbering him.

(More SPs/closers means more Ws,Ks,and saves.Plus

more innings pitched usually helps whip+era go down.)

I assume you are in a Yahoo League.  Look at the players that are available and check out the last month stats.  Believe it or not two KC players a leading them, plus the rookie 3B from the Brewers shows good promise.  When you go to pick up one of these players it will show what your guys are rated.  Again look at last months stats.  If you have players in the high 200's or above it time to make a move.  Do the same for your pitchers.
