I have the third pick in a 9 team Fantasy football league. The first two guys are taking Tomlinson then Addai. I have my choices narrowed down to Westbrook or Peterson. Could I get some opinions on who to take?

  1. westbrook is a solid pick, he is used like marshall faulk how evrything is built around him

  2. Westbrook is my personal preference, although both should be poised for good years.  I would say Westbrook just because of the injury concerns that surround AP as well as the fact that teams are going to stack 8 in the box and focus their defenses on stopping AP, because they know Tarvaris Jackson isn't going to burn them passing.  The Eagles have more weapons than Westbrook, so it makes it more difficult for defenses to stop him.  Plus he led the league in total yardage last year and he is the main back on the offense; AP needs to split with Chester Taylor occasionally (especially if they want to pass out of the backfield - AP is not nearly as good a receiver as BWes)

  3. I would go with Peterson because in a short season he showed what he can do. Westbrook wouldn’t be a bad pick either but Mcnabb hopes to spread the ball around more. They went and signed a pass catching tight end and the wide receivers should help out some. Vikings will be mostly a run oriented team because their QB is still a caretaker for the offense rather than a playmaker/leader.

  4. I'd go with Westbrook or Brady personally.

  5. go with westbrook, he a great runner and an even better receiver out of the backfield, He is ranked #3 among backs, and beside AP is going to be an injury cocern this season. Plus I think Mcnabb will fare better this year so that will help having a QB that can take pressure off of the running back. Oh and the fact that MInnesota has no passing game, means that defenses can stack 8 men in the box to stop peterson.Good Luck

  6. Westbrook is a gret pickup beware of a sophmore slump from AP

  7. I would take Peterson. Both have risk.

Peterson has the good old sophomore slump risk as well as a QB that is not solid. Westbrook has injury risk, the guy has never played a full season and he is not the guy they use in goal line situations.
