I put my picks on auto pick for a while because I was dealing with a client at work and I got stuck with these running backs: Warrick Dunn,Shaun Alexander,Ryan Torrain, and Ronnie brown. Which two should I start in September? I believe Ronnie Brown is the only one starting right now of these four. You think things can change for me come September because I look screwed for the time being. Please Help!!!!!!

  1. yo brah. in case u didn't know its still the preseason! i would wait until the week before the season starts and to make trades and picking up guys from waivers.

  2. ronnie brown for sure: he was a beast until he got injured last year and probably alexander....dunn isn't that great now and who the h**l is ryan torrain.

  3. How big is your league? Assuming it's 12 teams or less, that's a really weak RB corps and you're in serious trouble. Start Brown, and I guess Dunn, but try to swing a trade for someone else or nab a sleeper off the waiver wire.

  4. Well depending on how many teams are in your league you may or may not have a few good running backs as free agents that nobody has claimed yet.  I would see if you could find a decent RB in free agency.

  5. Yup, your screwed.

Dunn is a non factor. Cadillac Williams and E. Graham will be running the majority of downs in Tampa.

Alexander isn't even on a team.

Torain will be lucky to even make the Broncos.

Ronnie Brown is favored to start right now, but Ricky Williams is coming on very strong.

You basically don't have any RBs. Brown is the only one that is going to have playing time.

Unless you can pull of some kind of miracle getting RBs off the waivers or trades, you better hope you have a great QB, WRs, TE and DEF.

  6. If you have that little talent at RB, there must be a position you are stacked at. If I were you i would trade a good player from that position along with a RB other than Brown for a RB such as Ryan Grant or Lawrence Maroney and a worse player at the other position. If you do not want to trade, definitely start Brown, who will be great barring another injury, and maybe pick up Justin Fargas if available. If not I would start Dunn, because he will steal a good amount of carries from Norwood.

    Hope I could help

  7. Wow. You're in trouble. So you know, Dunn is a backup to Ernest Graham as Cadillac may end up on the PUP list, but he could get a few carries a game. I'd hold on to Alexander and then cross your fingers that some starting RB for some team gets injured and then that said team signs Alexander. Ryan Torain, well, I believe he's out for 3-4 months with an injury and could very well get placed on IR if Denver decides they need the roster space. To answer your question, sort of, start Ronnie Brown and Warrick Dunn for now as they are the only 2 that will even be on an active roster. Drop Ryan Torain and look for a guy like Chris Johnson if he is available. He's having a jaw dropping preseason and could really produce as a change of pace back to Lendale White. He's also a guy that might have slipped through the cracks in your draft. Lesser choices could be Sammy Morris who should be getting goalline carries again or Kevin Faulk who will see some receptions and junk yards. Maybe a guy like Andre Hall who could surpass Selvin Young in Denver or Maurice Morris who may split carries in Seattle. Good luck, your gonna need it.
