  1. I agree with the above answer that you need to get a fantaasy football magazine and use that as your guide...but only get one, not a couple as the other answer suggested.  There are lots of them out there; I find ESPN The Magazine is one of the best.   The top names at QB, RB and WR everyone knows about (PManning Brady, Brees, Tomlinson, Peterson, Addai, Westbrook, Ownes, Moss, Edwards for example) so the key to winning is always depth and free agent pickups throughout the season (last year I added QB Kurt Warner and K Mason Crosby during the season, and they helped carry me into my league championship game).  Some names that might be under the radar:

QB:  Hasselbeck, Sea - underrated by many people, puts up consistent numbers though.

             Campbell, Wash. Up and coming

Russell, Oak.  Could be poised for a breakout year

Edwards, Buff.  Solid player with good talent around him

RB:  Young, Den It all depends on if he is the starter.  If he is, he could be a fantasy stud.

Rudi Johnson, Cin Injured last year but put up very consistant numbers for several years before (around 1300-1400 yards and 12-14 tds, and always came on strong during those crucial fantasy playoff weeks).  If you take a chance on him be sure and grab Kenny Watson as insurance- last year he performed quite nicely after Johnson went down.

Jamal Lewis, Clev He should not be underrated, but is by many people.  Cleveland's offense is potent and you may be able to snag him at a value pick.

Thomas Jones, NYJ only scored 2 tds last year, which is bad to be sure, but he is a workhorse and the Jets have upgraded the O-line.  I doubt he will only get 2 tds again if he gets as many touches as he did the last year.

Stewart, Carolina He's a rookie, but could be the starter.

              Forte, Chi See Stewart above.

Smith, Det See Stewart ad Forte above.

WR:  Burleson, Sea Caught 9 td passes last year and should be the main target this year with Branch out

White, Atl.  He's on a bad team with a rookie QB likely starting, but put up pretty good numbers last year in about the same situation.

Calvin Johnson, Det.  Did not have a great rookie year, but has a ton of ability and a stud opposite him to draw coverage away.

Gonzalez, Ind Keep an eye on Harrison's status- if he is not back to full speed, Gonzolez could reap the benefit.

Reggie Williams, Jax.  Inconsitent, but seems to have a rapport with his QB and the long pass.  Scored a lot of tds last year.

Holmes, Pitt.  The Steelers opened up the offense last year, and although they are traditionally more of a running team, don't be surprised if they keep the balance this year.

ESPN.com has draft rooms that you can get into and be drafting in 10 minutes- these are a great way to get an idea how other players are valueing various players, which can give you an idea how long you can wait to snag a sleeper or two.

    Good luck

  2. You can't just know the best players and think you will get them all.  If we all gave you the top 5 in each position, you will be lucky to get 2 or 3 of the players all combined.

My advice is to get at least 2 Fantasy Football magazines from a reputable book store.  Good book stores will have about 6 or 7 options available.  Don't get the cheapest ones.  The more expensive ones will give you better stat info and give you advice in how to prepare for the draft.  Preparing for the draft is important.  Get 2 magazines because you will get different opinions about players and you will see where they rank.  It is a good way to help evaluate players.

I have been playing FFB for years and have always finished in the top 3 of a 14 team PPR/IDP league.  To be successful, I prepare my picks in the following from best to worst.

QB - I list my top 32 choices

RB - I list my top 50 Choices

WR - I list my top 60 choices

TE - I list my top 30 choices

    K -  I list my top 20 choices

Defense - I would list all 32 if I played Defensive Teams (i Play IDP)

    LB - I list the top 50

    DB - I list the top 50

To be successful, that is the way to do it.  If you don't, you will find yourself not knowing how to draft.  Every pick is not a wasted pick.  Once you make a mistake, you wind up trying to catch up the rest of the draft.

Practice drafting.  Here is a good website to practice for free.
