I'm wondering who I should keep between Drew Brees, Willie Parker, Ronnie Brown, Larry Johnson or Reggie Bush? I have one keeper slot

  1. It comes down to what you have to give up to keep them. You will have to weigh the value of the player vs what you will lose to keep them. Brees would be a good choice as long as you are not giving up any picks in the top 4 or 5 rounds. He started slow but still ended up with over 4,000 yards and 28 TD's or so. Take a look at where you are going to be drafting, who the other teams are keeping and where there will be an early run position wise. Most teams will tend to keep RB's so your options at RB may be severely limited if you don't keep one and have to redraft all of your RB's. If you think you can get by with it, keep a RB that doesn't cost you too much, draft another solid RB in the first round and try to get Brees back in a later round. Now if Brady, Manning, Romo, Roth are all being kept, then you may have to keep Brees as he would be about the best QB available.

  2. Keep Brees

Willie Parker is going to be splitting time with Rashard Mendenhall.

Ronnie Brown is coming of a ACL injury

Larry Johnson is coming off a injury and may lose some carries to a rookie.

Reggie Bush hasnt lived up to the hype and with the addition of Jeremy Shockey he could lose catches witch are a big part of his fantasy points.

  3. Yeah, what's the "price" for a keeper?

Does it cost a draft pick?

Of those, only Drew Brees is confirmed healthy, or is not coming off a season of significant injury.  If your league settings are favorable for a QB, he's worthy of consideration.

If there is no cost, Parker and Johnson will be drafted higher than Brown, so they probably have more intrinsic value if you want to keep a back.

EDIT: Johnson is expected to lose carries to Smith and Jamaal Charles, the kid they drafted.

  4. Ronnie Brown

are you only keeping 1 or is this the last spot you need to fill. if you are keeping 1 guy you have to look at it as it is your 1st round pick, which of these guys would you take w/ your 1st pick?
