Far Cry 2 question...?

I'm thinking about getting Far Cry 2. It releases on October 21 or something. If I wait and get it for Christmas, will there still be a big population online so I can play it on xbox live? I mean a big enough population that I don't have to wait long to get into a match?

Far Cry 1 for pc took a little time to get people on it, but, Far Cry 2 is supposed to have a better multiplayer system, i think you will be safe either way, i know ill try it out online on my 360.
