Farewell Party- Theme??

My boyfriend and I are having a farewell party and cant decide on the theme. He was thinking maybe "Famous people throughout history" whereas I was thinking more outside the circle with something like surreal art theme or kids movies chracters...(So i could go as alice in wonderland) lol...

Please help what do you guys think?

  1. You could combine both your and your boyfriend's ideas into a "People you wish you could have said farewell to, but couldn't" which encompasses many dead famous people AND Alice in Wonderland AND the topic of farewell.  

    This theme also upstages both of you as people are dressing as people they would rather farewell - instead of you!!  Quite funny.

    Anyway good luck.  Heaps of ideas on the resource below:
