Farhh likely to upset Frankel in Qipco Sussex Stakes
Farhh has got a chance of breaking the winning streak of Frankel in the Qipco Sussex Stakes (British Champions Series) (Group 1) at Goodwood in England on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. A cash prize of £179,487 will be awarded to the winner of the mega event.
Only four runners have lined up for action in the 1 mile race, which is scheduled to start at 15:10 GMT. The weather has remained perfect for racing and the forecast suggests that there will be no rain today, thus the going will be good.
Although it seems pretty difficult for anyone to stand in the way of the mighty Frankel, who has never been beaten in his career until now, yet there is a solid chance for someone like Farhh to create history.
The four-year-old colt has only represented his team in five races so far and his performances in them have been pretty much impressive. Therefore, he cannot be taken for granted. The bookies have given him a general starting price of 12 to 1 and the punters
will also be risking a few bets on him.
The Saeed Bin Suroor’s trainee does not have a 100 percent winning percentage, but he has still managed to set high standards. He has succeeded in three races out of five attempts. Moreover, he has also finished as a runner up once whereas secured the third
spot on the same number of times.
This goes onto show that Farhh is a quality performer and has the ability to challenge the best in the business. He started off his career in July 2010 and took part in just one race that year. He was extremely quick back then and took the top spot comfortably.
Just like his debut year, the young challenger represented his team in one event in 2011 and was victorious in that one as well. He started off the ongoing season in a positive manner, bringing up the third consecutive win of his career.
However, things have not worked out well for Pivotal’s son in his previous two races, as he was unable to win any of them. Despite that, his performances have been excellent and he has got a great chance of tasting victory at Goodwood under veteran jockey,
Frankie Dettori.
