Farley Denny, Fastest Greyhound in Heats of August Monkey 59OER
Wednesday night, the first three heats of August Monkey 59Oer were held at Swindon. Trainer Carol Weatherall’s greyhound, Farley Denny, was the quickest greyhound amongst the three winners on 24th August.
In Heat1, Forest Ted, trained by Kevin Hutton, was the fastest greyhound to finish the race. He finished the heat in 30.19 seconds, defeating the runner-up, Black Cyclone, by three quarters of a length.
Kevin Hutton has outdone himself in training the greyhound without any doubt.
Black Cyclone had started off on a fast pace but Forest Ted took the lead from him in the middle of the race.
J. Burridge, who trained Black Cyclone, needs to gear up the greyhound a little for the upcoming semi finals.
Greyhound Fiddlers Green won the heat 2 by defeating the runner up Seneca in 30.09 seconds.
Seneca has been trained by R. Jones and was beaten up by a margin of one and three quarters of a length by the winner, Fiddlers Green.
Heat 1's runner-up's trainer, J. Burridge, is also the trainer of Heat 2's winner, Fiddlers Green. His training and hard work paid off in the form of Fiddler Green’s victory here.
Trainer Carol Weatherall’s greyhound Farley Denny emerged victorious in Heat 3. He finished the race in 29.96 seconds.
He defeated the runner-up, Mercurial Star, by a margin of one and a quarter of a length. Mercurial Star crossed the finish line in 30.06 seconds. Farley Denny had the lead of the race from the star but I the middle Mercurial Star started giving him competition
and chased him all the way to the finish line after that. Farley Denny has had a successful racing career. He had also won his debut race in November 2009.
It was Carol Weatherall’s night of glory at the August Monkey 50oer's heats on Wednesday night. Greyhound Farley Denny has brought nothing but pride to the trainer in the heats. His performance in heat 3 has built up a good deal of expectations of the bookmakers,
his trainer, owner and the viewers.
