Farloe Ashes gave Trainer P Curtin a chance to take home the £400 purse after winning the Corona Sprint Trophy – Final
On the 7th of November 2011, the race card of the Nottingham’s meeting highlighted the prestigious event of the Corona Sprint Trophy – Final, which was impressively won by trainer P Curtin’s Farloe Ashes.
Covering the trip of 305 meters the Grade OR chase entailed the purse of £400 which was taken home by the blue and fawn dog Farloe Ashes.
Wearing orange and white jacket, he was sent off as the favourite to win the race. With the odds of 4 – 5 F P Curtin’s hound commenced his chase with an astonishing speed.
Surging through the lot of hounds, the two-year-old dog eventually accomplished in attaining the pointer position during the first bend.
The trap 6 racer Tictac Diamond was right behind Farloe Ashes, giving him a tough competition, but suddenly the hound got wide and lost the opportunity to over throw the favourite dog of the event.
P Curtin’s trap 5 racer sustained the leaders’ position, and with his swift and sure attitude, very inspiringly crossed the finish line in total 18.10 seconds.
On the other side the two-year-old Tictac Diamond lost the battle by 1 ¼ lengths, due to the obstruction he experienced in his chase. Trainer T Jameson’s hound took 18.20 seconds to cross the finish line.
Following Tictac Diamond by a ½ length was trainer M Walsh’s Elwick Blitz. The black b***h was sent in with 7 – 2 odds to win the handsome purse, but her pace was not enough to surge all the way to success.
Taking 18.24 seconds the three-year-old b***h finished third.
The fourth position was attained by Rathanny Kate, who began her quest from trap 2 wearing blue and white jacket, for trainer P Harnden.
The black b***h was quite slow in the beginning, which later on became a major drawback for her. The four-year-old racer managed to cross over in total 18.46 seconds for P Harnden.
The trap 3 racer Cuddlers Corner lost the race by 2 lengths and finished off fifth in 18.62 seconds. Trainer L Tuffin’s black and white dog unfortunately got baulked during the first bend, due to which he was not able to compete in a well manner.
The hound who stood sixth in the final round was also in for trainer L Tuffin. Ballymac Yeah was sent in with 16 – 1 odds. The trap 4 racer managed to reach the wire in 18.72 seconds.
The victorious hound Farloe Ashes brought home festivity after giving an out class hit in the Corona Sprint Trophy – Final for his trainer P Curtin.
