Farloe Ashes to prevail the Ladbrokes.Com Pall Mall Stakes Heat 3 at Oxford
Oxford will become home for the Ladbrokes.Com Pall Mall Stakes Heat 3 over 450 metres flat on Thursday, 7th June. Competing for the £150 prize money are Melodys Express, Packin Heat, Farloe Ashes, Crossfield Jet, Aherlow Shaw and Kilmalady Biffo.
Leading the line-up with the best credentials is Farloe Ashes, Ballymac Maeve’s three-year-old blue and fawn dog out of b***h, Final Pearl. His first experience of the new season was the four training sessions that he went through. Three of them were at Monmore while one was held at Swindon.
The sessions failed to reap out the desired outcome as the three-year-old settled as the runner up in the Owlerton Bookmakers Sprint on 13th March at Sheffield over 280 metres.
The race was won by the 2/1 favourite, Swabys Tony, while it took Farloe Ashes 16.36 seconds to settle the distance. His first seasonal success was in the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy on 19th March at Nottingham over 305 metres. Farloe Ashes put the evening’s favourite, Outbound Conka, at a disadvantage of ¾ of a length and timed the track distance in 17.95 seconds.
He missed the race that followed by finishing third in it on 22nd March.
The three-year-old won the London Road Standard on 30th March at Romford over 400 metres by making it to the other end of the wire in 24.17 seconds. The 5/2 favourite of the race, All For David, finished the closest to the winner after racing for 24.41 seconds and missing it by three lengths.
Yahoo Ned took up the third slot.
After missing three more races in a row, Farloe Ashes was drilled over 264 metres at Monmore. He raced through the track distance in 15.60 seconds.
His last success till yet was in a 450 metres race at Oxford on 17th May. Farloe Ashes completed the track distance in 27.36 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Cordoola Dawn, by 7 ¼ lengths.
His two most recent races were not a disappointment as he scored second in both of them and today has all the chances of leaving an impressive impact.
