Farloe Barracuda confident about the Sheffield Stadium Sprint
The two-year-old black dog, Farloe Barracuda, is the most respected for the Sheffield Stadium Sprint. The 280 metres flat challenge will be staged at Sheffield on Thursday, 20th December. The prize money decided for the race is £200. The B. Draper
trained has started racing just this season and was quick to leave an impressive mark on the minds of connections and crowds alike.
The first three tries of the two-year-old at the open level could not bear the desired fruit, but a training session at Sheffield got him the momentum that he was looking for.
He won the Show Time Chase on 18th March at Sheffield over 480 metres. The favourite entry was swift when racing out of the fifth box and saved most of the ground on the rail end. It took him 28.03 seconds to make it to the other end of the wire.
The last four attempts of Droopys Scolari’s son at the open level had him bagging the winner’s prize money of three.
Farloe Barracuda took charge of the Sheffield Stadium Sprint on 20th November, 2012 at Sheffield over 280 metres.
Racing in the blue jacket, the evening’s favourite set himself apart from the rest of the competition and maintained the lead until it took him to the wire in 15.84 seconds.
With 5 ¾ lengths in his favour, the winner set Lionhearted Andy, at a disadvantage.
He then struck a back-to-back by capturing the Sheffield Stadium Sprint on 27th November, 2012 at Sheffield over 280 metres. The favourite was once again dressed in the blue of the second trap. The same tactic as in the previous race got him the
title in 15.95 seconds.
For a second time, Lionhearted Andy, was set into the second slot, he missed the race by 3 ½ lengths.
Missing the chance to post a hat-trick, the two-year-old with the first draw won the Sheffield Stadium Sprint on 13th December, 2012 over 280 metres.
Breaking into an early pace and then setting into a lead had him making the transit in 16.02 seconds.
The favourite entry defeated Phanters Bullett by good six lengths.
