Farloe Barracuda likely to prevail in Bettor.com Peterborough Puppy Derby - Heat 2
Farloe Barracuda is likely to strike his hat-trick at Peterborough on Saturday, April 14th. The black dog will be in action in second heat of the Bettor.com Peterborough Puppy Derby, which is scheduled to start at
20:26 GMT.
He is coming into this clash after displaying two fantastic performances at Sheffield. B. Draper’s trainee exhibited a brilliant show to seize the top spot in a 480 metres heat on March 8th. He went on to seal another
emphatic win later that month.
His latest win was quite fascinating, as he topped the chat by two and a quarter lengths. Despite registering two back-to-back wins, Droopys Scolari’s son did not get complacent and made a couple of solo runs to gear up for
today’s crucial race.
He is confident and well prepared to bang his rivals in the 420 metres flat heat. Among his opposition are: Frisby Barney, Loughside Jack, Doobys Gone West, Penniment Mick and Angelic Lottie.
The pack of six quality hounds will pursue a cash prize of £100. Farloe Barracuda has an obvious chance to thrive, but it would not be a straightforward trip for the black dog.
Loughside Jack is also aiming to accomplish his hat-trick after two consecutive wins. The spectators at Henlow saw him displaying two back to back good performances at the start of last month.
In his latest win, the black dog outpaced Westmead Bertie by 3¾ lengths. If he comes up with the similar effort, his opponents would find it difficult to catch him.
Frisby Barney is another strong contender, who will come out in search of his hat-trick. In mid March, he nabbed the first position by three and a half lengths.
Doobys Gone West is also a fresh winner, but his tradition of getting inconsistent might prevent the punters from supporting him. Similarly, it would be a brave move to bet on Penniment Mick, who has been unlucky over the past
few weeks.
With three ace hounds searching for hat-trick, it would be a nail-biting clash. Farloe Barracuda, who will start the show from the red box, is most likely to steal the show. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
