Farloe Ironman and Tinas Nova to fight it out at Wimbledon on 4th May, 2012 in the Grade OR Heat 7
The Grade OR Heat 7 is scheduled to take place at Wimbledon on 4th May, 2012, where a line-up of six runners will be competing for the purse of £150 over a distance of 480 metres.
Among the six contenders, Farloe Ironman and Tinas Nova will race as favourites with the winning odds of 2 to 1.
Farloe Ironman, son of Premier Fantasy, out of Farloe Reserve, has competed at a variety of tracks including Swindon, Hove, Henlow and recently ran three races at Wimbledon.
Over the course of his career, he has scored fourteen massive victories.
The M. Dartnall trained hound succeeded over, Blackrose Bullet, by 3 ½ lengths in 28.83 seconds on 11th April, 2012.
In the race that followed on 20th April, 2012, the black and white dog finished as a runner-up as he was defeated by, Bowtime Sykes, by 3 lengths in 28.79 seconds.
Whelped on 2nd September, 2009, the hound finished fifth in his most recent start. He completed the 480 metre course in 29.32 seconds against the winner, Eden Star’s time of 28.64 seconds.
Tinas Nova will not be an easy competitor to defeat, and he will definitely be a thorn in the way of Farloe Ironman.
The son of Big Daddy Cool, out of Sunnyside Tina, has mostly competed at Shelbourne Park and Dundalk, but recently ran two races at Wimbledon, which he sealed with two consecutive victories.
The S. Muldoon trained hound defeated, Go Go Sonic, by 2 lengths in 480 metres in 28.76 seconds on 7th April, 2012.
In the race that followed he triumphed over, Westmead Maldini, by 2 lengths and completed the course in 28.97 seconds.
Whelped on 1st August, 2009, the white and brindle hound secured nine victories, three finishes as a runner-up and finished twice in third place.
Both these hounds will bring their best to the race, and will definitely deliver an extremely competitive race.
Judging on the recent few performances, it can be speculated that Tinas Nova has the better odds of winning considering he is currently on a hat-trick which he will aim to complete today.
