The Grade A1 John Lewis Stakes will be hosted by Peterborough over 420 metres flat on Wednesday, 13th June. Competing in the £98 event are Bakari, Farloe Tornado, Killacolla Posh, Farloe Handy and Slippery Tigger.
One of the most accomplished entries on the line-up is Farloe Tornado, Ace Hi Rumble’s two-year-old black son out of b***h, Wont Be Long. He rolled into the season on 12th January in a 420 metres race at Peterborough. He settled right next to the winner, Markeys Beo, who timed the track distance in 25.89 seconds.
He claimed the first success of the season through the third try on 28th January at Peterborough in a Grade A4 420 metres flat race. The 4/6 favourite was done racing in 25.98 seconds and led the runner up, Cloncunny Oscar, by 1 ¾ lengths.
He then bagged a 450 metres race at Oxford on 2nd February by completing the trip in 27.62 seconds and taking the charge of the final 3 ¼ lengths.
Any possibility of a hat trick diluted with a second position in a Grade A3 420 metres flat on 11th February at Peterborough. The 11/10 favourite runner up, Farloe Tornado, took 26.13 seconds.
Out of his last four races, the two-year-old has won three races.
He won a 420 metres race on 17th May at Peterborough by reaching the other end of the wire in 26.19 seconds and leading the runner up, Grafton Genie, by one and a half length.
After finishing fourth in the very next race, he won the two that followed right after.
On 1st June, the two-year-old won a Grade A2 420 metres flat race at Peterborough. The 5/4 favourite went through the wire in 25.63 seconds and led by a mere length. Finishing the closest was Swift Thunder.
He then monopolised a Grade A1 D & A Stakes on 8th June at Peterborough over 420 metres. Farloe Tornado won as the 6/4 favourite of the race and took 25.42 seconds to settle the race. He led the runner up, Allmighty Jackie, by 4 ¾ lengths.
He has substantial chances of striking a hat trick through bagging the race tonight.
