I have a old farmall 656 don't know exact year its a gasoline model. after it warms up and you give it any gas it will bog out and die. I cleaned the fuel lines, cleaned rebuilt carb, new plugs, new points/condenser, it will idle and after warming up and you give it some throttle it starts to bog and dies.

Cylinders 3 4 5 were carbonized solid, replaced still didn't help all have spark.

I don't know what to do, i did a compression test

cylinders 1-160, 2-147, 3-157, 4-155, 5-158, 6-171 i did each 3 times and averaged.

My dad was mowing and it just started bogging and died he thought it ran out of gas but it didn't something just happened and now this is whats been happening.

Any help is wanted, head gasket stuck valve piston rings idk??

  1. Have you tried a new ignition coil? Just a thought...

  2. I would also suspect a coil, or cap/rotor is possible also. Recheck point settings as well.
