Farmers Classic: James Blake, Andy Murray and Feliciano Lopez victorious
 
The British number one tennis ace, Andy Murray knocked down Tim Smyczek 6-1, 4-6, 6-2, who is a qualifier from the United States of America in the round number two at the Farmer’s Classic on Thursday.
The top seeded Murray, came in Los Angeles as a result of a wild card entry after the second ranked Djokovic pulled out from the championship due to some undisclosed reasons.
The twenty two year old Tim on the other hand, earlier won the round number one clash as his very first ATP Tour success. Murray got the better of one hundred and ninety two ranked Tim in the tournament leading to the fourth Grand Slam of the year.
 “I am expecting to perform well here and prepare myself well before the upcoming 2010 United States Open championship starting from the month of August,” Andy commented.
He will face the Colombian tennis ace Alejandro Falla in his next match , who knocked down the fifth seeded Ernests Gulbis 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (10), a player from Latvia.
In another match, the fourth seeded Spanish tennis ace, Feliciano Lopez thrashed out his Israeli opponent Dudi Sela with a final match score of  7-6 (7), 6-4 in a total of two sets.
Feliciano in his next match will face James Blake, a wild card entry who hammered down Benjamin Becker with a final match score of 7-5, 7-6 (7) on the UCLA campus in the city of California.
James who was a finalist here back in 2007, headed to 3-0 versus the German tennis ace.
 “It surely could’ve gone the other side comfortably,” Blake said. “I’m performing good as not allowing anything to affect my game.”
James made his way into his very first quarter final round after a period of five months. The thirty years old player later on could not carry on with his winning momentum as a result of an injury. He was knocked out in round number one of his last three championships and therefore has yet to make his way into the semi final round this season.
“Knee ache has almost gone. I feel much better now,” he said with a bag of ice taped to his knee prior to the start of the match.  “When you turn as old as thirty, it becomes pretty obvious that your professional life is going to over soon. Even then, I am glad that I have not only recovered well but performing well on the courts as well”, Blakes added.
The left handed tennis ace, Falla on the other hand, managed to make his way into the third quarterfinal round of the season.
“I’m extremely glad as I succeeded in a difficult match,” he commented. “I battled till the end.  I was exhausted too. Both of us were running all around the court as well as fought lengthy rallies.”
As far as Gulbis is concerned, he was participating in his very first championship since May due to some injury problems.
“It was extremely hard for me to go lengthy rallies,” he commented. “I didn’t feel hundred percent healthy and fit to fight for this match in Loss Angeles”.
He was also penalized a point as a result of hitting his racquet during the match. “His only aim in life is to charge penalties more like a job of a police officer’, he said. On the other hand, Bryan brothers, the hot favourite players were to contest in a round number two doubles clash versus Dmitry Tursunov and Gulbis in quest of their record sixty second professional trophy.
