  1. No. Unless they are posting a sign to indicate this you should assume the contrary.

A farmer may be pesticide free without being certified organic, and it is appropriate for that farmer to state this, but there will be no authoritative certification to give you assurance.

A farmer could then lie, and sell produce that has been sprayed with insecticides and say it is pesticide free. But when there is no claim ot be pesticide free, there is no likelihood that it is,

  2. no, but it is definitely over priced produce.

  3. no, i would ask them if it's certifiedly organic

  4. Not  really. But you may make a soulution of Hydorgen peroxide (H202)

and vinegar and clean the produce to remove the pesticide.

  5. No .... a farmers market just means they are locally grown farms you must still check and ask if they are organic are not.

  6. NO it is not.  I sell at farmers market and I use pesticides to keep the bugs away.  It is safe to eat though just make sure to wash thoroughly.  If your looking for pesticide free produce you must make sure that it is organic and ask the person if they have an organic license.  My uncle once put up an organic sign but the food was not organic!  Just be careful even farmers can scam you.

  7. No. You really should ask the ones that are selling it.

  8. I wouldn't assume their produce if pesticide free. I think the majority is though, but to be sure, just ask the grower selling the stuff, they are more than happy to tell you!

  9. I wouldn't assume that. And i wouldn't assume all of the farmers with produce use the best methods to grow their products.

  10. I doubt it.  I believe farmers markets are made up of many individual farmers who each use their own techniques.  So you can never be 100% sure what someone does or doesnt spray on their crops.  you could ask but theres no guarantee they'd tell you th truth
