Could anyone recommend a book concerned with environmental policy and agriculture please. Am thinking of a career route in conservation within an agricultural context and could do with a bit of swotting up....I'm not sure where to look cos it covers law, economics, biology, environment... Thank you! x*x

  3. Hey. I would recommend looking on Amazon as they tend to hold alot of varieties in a chosen field.

One example is "Regenerating Agriculture: Policies and Practice for Sustainability and Self-Reliance "

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Regenerating-Agr...

One you can buy second hand for as little as £2.50 is

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Agriculture-Peop...

If you search for your chosen topic a range of books from beginners guides to in depth scripts will appear for you to browse through :)

    Good luck  x x

  4. The only people that can give you that broad spectrum information under one umbrella is DEFRA.

You don't have to join, but they can put you on the path to learning what you need.

  5. I read an article on Scientific American about no-till farming. You might want to check this term. I know nothing about various farming technology but they make a comment about soil preservation using this technique.

I know it's off topic and others already provided better reference but it may help you in the future.
