  1. the tigers because pudge will be gone after the season ..it will be like when the redsox got javy lopez and he sucked

  2. It benefits the Yankees more than the Tigers. Pudge will fill in well for Posada, and if Jorge's shoulder does not heal well enough for him to catch, they can move him to first base next year, and try to resign Pudge for 1 or 2 years to be their catcher. Farnsworth should blow a few games for Detroit and then go on his way as a free agent next year.

  3. This lightens our bullpen a bit, but I guess we can use Edwar as a set-up man. We got a great HOF catcher who still has some hits left in him. Tigers did well, but we did better.

  4. no doubt in my mind the yankees. farnsworth sucks so even if the yankess got nobody they made the better deal. and the fact that this is the last year of pudges contract makes no difference. posada will be here next season and we wont need him at that point. anytime you can obtain one of best catchers of the past decade you do it.

  5. Yankees, Pudge wins that's what he does so he will make sure the Yankees win.

  6. Yanks oviously.  Pudge is more valuable than Farnsworth, even though Rodriguez is in the decline.  Before Farnsworth used to give up a home run every inning.  He will blow a 5 or 6 games for Detroit before its over with.

  7. The yankees made out because there bullpen is very strong and need a catcher that can hit as well as the fact that molina cannot play everyday.  he is better as a backup.  not to mention as a yankee farnsworth is notorious for blowing big games in big spots.

  8. did this happen now because now the NYY are on WS road to 27

  9. Actually, they are both winners.  The Yankees need help now, and they are getting it in the form of a future HOFer.  The Tigers tried to win with veterans and fell a bit short.  Now, they need to shed some payroll, get some youth, and try again.  If the Yankees get deep into the playoffs they are even bigger winners!

    Go Pudge!

  10. Tigers.

  11. The Yankees, obviously. Pudge is established and a future HOF'er. Farnsworth is mediocre. He was just starting to find his groove in The Bronx, and now he'll have to start all over again. I don't think he'll be comfortable at first in Detroit, and I don't see him doing well right away. Just like he completely sucked his first few years with the Yankees and we were begging for him to be gotten rid of.

  12. The Yanks. Pudge is one of the best catchers in the league. Fanrsworth is okay but not as a good a pitcher as Pudge is a catcher. We've already got relievers in Detroit that can choke in a close game. We'll miss you Pudge!

  13. A solid veteran catcher who can manage the game and rarely ever make a mistake

    FOR

a shaky reliever that makes 400 ft mistakes regularly?

hmmm... while this is extremely close...  im gonna say yankees.
