Farnworth (bolton) to john lennon airport liverpool ?

am going away in 2 months , i live in fanworth , bolton uk , and have to get to john lennon airport in liverpool , does anyone have any ideas on best way to get there using public transport ? or any idea on taxi cost? any help appreciated, tried searching on web but all i get is the beatles lol

Jump the train to Liverpool Lime street, that should cost about a tenner, then jump on the 883 bus to the airport, that is a flat charge of £1
