Farokh Engineer, the former Indian player, has lashed out at Team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028, for their nerve-crushing
defeat, which he thinks, has brought sheer disrepute to the pride of the Indian nation.
Farokh watched the 2nd game at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, during all four days with a hope that his former team would thrive but got badly disappointed yesterday when India’s batting line-up was ripped and ragged by the English bowlers like foam.
Reducing the game to four days with their magnificent all-round performances, the English won the match with a huge margin of 319 runs yesterday. Before it, they had beaten the tourists in 1st Test at Lord’s.
The Men in Blue’s disgraceful defeat has shocked Farokh and he has lavished curse on the team.
Talking to the media, the former cricketer said, “We didn't look like an international side, let alone the world's No 1 side. Ok, we lost

http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Z-Khan-c98379, but you can't lose one player and say it's all over. We haven't shown any fighting spirit. We have come here with a h**l of a reputation, but unfortunately we haven't produced goods on the field.’
He went on to say, “We have been outplayed in every department. Even http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 put up a better fight here.”
Farokh opines that the world cricket fans expect mature performance from Team India as they pose to be the World’s top-ranked Test nation but the players have disappointed all and desecrated their honour and title.
He blames the loose and shattered body language of the Indians for their failure and considers the skipper responsible for it. He is of the view that Dhoni has surprisingly stepped down from the ladder of success as he seems unable to grip the odd circumstances.
Farokh played 46 Test and 5 ODIs for Team India with 2611 and 114 runs respectively in the two formats, from 1961 to 1975. He posed to be a stylish and aggressive wicketkeeper batman who brought home some iconic titles during his tenure as a player.
