Farrell's Ice Cream at The Block in Orange, California?

Question

Years ago, I read a newspaper article about a new Farrell's Ice Cream parlor being built at The Block in Orange, California.

I did a search for it today, but couldn't find anything.

Was it ever opened? If so, when, and for how long?

Are there any other locations in or near Orange County?

Does the company sell franchises?

wasn't it spelled Ferrells???? I remember that when I was a kid in I think Huntington Beach.  Loved that place.  Remember the Zoo that came out on a stretcher?  or the Pigs Troff???  Fun times.

The Orange location never opened, due to a legal dispute between Parlour Enterprises (developers of Farrell's in California) and The Kirin Group (owners of the Farrell's trademarks and master development rights).

The only location now open in California is in Santa Clarita.  There are also 2 locations open in Hawaii.

there is only one i know of and i think its in the riverside area, but dont quote me on that...i was at the block a couple days ago and i assure you there isnt one or id be there in a second

I remeber Farrals when I was a kid. It was a fun place.

They all went out of business

I don't think they ever opened at The Block.  All of the locations I knew about closed up long ago and they didn't get much business when they did.  People are watching their weight more nowadays and I would suggest you look elsewhere for a franchise.  .

The Farrells near us in So. CA went out of business many years ago....don't know why as it was a fun place to bring the kids!
