Fashion Institute of New York?

How is the housing at this school and the campus life what are pros and cons of going here?

I am a high school student in New York City. I actually live in Manhattan too. New York is such an overrated city in my opinion. Maybe it is because I lived here for my whole life, depending on where youre from its going to be hard to adjust to the New York lifestyle. Sure, the first few years will be a blast but in the long run you're gonna get sick of the hectic  city life unless you were born and raised here and will want to leave. thats the simple truth. You might end up wanting to get out of NYC after the first 2 years, who knows? As for SCHOOL LIFE I know a few people who go there and I hear It's alright. There are other fashion schools such as Parson's. Housing is a bit expensive and you have to share the room with someone anyway. Getting a house in the city is a BIG NO because youre not gonna be able to afford it anway. WAY too expensive. try moving to somewhere such as New Jersey, like Fort Lee or Englewood. They're about 10-20 minutes away from Manhattan.
