Fast, Fun Decorating Tips?

Okay, so today is my Uncle's surprise birthday party. Here's the problem. He's going to be INSIDE the house when this is going on, but my cousins and I wanted to decorate the house, so my dad is going to send him on an errand, but that only gives us half an hour. What are some fast, fun decorating tips? We were planning on putting a banner and making some cookies, but that's all we have right now. We thought about balloons, but we don't have any helium, so we were thinking about putting H A P P Y B D A Y, one letter on one balloon, and taping it to the wall, but we don't know. What else can we do in 30 minute? Thanks!

Go in your room with a few of your cousins and lock the door so you can make posters that say Happy Birthday and nice stuff like that.On another poster maybe take some older pictures of him on previous Birthdays and stick them on the poster.Have some of your other cousins make some cute cards to put all around the house.When he leaves all you have to do is put the posters on the wall and place the cards on some tables.
