I am trying to find a fast used car (0-60 in less then 6.3 seconds w/ a manual tranny ) i would like it to be around $6k and cheap to insure (i am 18) I have thought about 1993-1997 Firebirds and Cameros but they are too expensive to insure, i am looking at 1994-1998 Mustang GT's as they are cheaper to insure, but i think a sedan would be cheaper, i am fine with up to 100K miles maby 125k any ideas? thanks.

  1. Yes. Wait until you're 25 before you get a sports car. No one will insure you for anything less than that if you're under 25 and a male driver.

  2. i'm seventeen and my car is a nissan 98 altima i paid $2,000 for it at a trade show and i pay $450 every six months for insurance, i have friends who have bugs, and corollas that pay around the same. unless it is a sporty car the insurance won't charge you too much.

  3. Get a Chevy Truck

  4. i would look at 97-01 honda prelude. Fastest motor honda had back then besides the crv and very reliable. most hondas are cheap to insure. the engine(H22A1) produces 195 horsepower stock, and the type s engine(H22A) produces 223 hp stock. so they are pretty fast. you will be able to find one for around 6000 easily. you can pull up to 800,000 miles out of these engines with proper maintenence. hope i was help.

  5. Look into a subaru WRX one of the older models.  They were built for speed but they're considered "safer sedans" very reliable as well.

  6. Test drive a Nissan Maxima... 5 spd, i think they got 0-60 close...1998

  7. Bah, if you didn't need a manual I'd suggest a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP.
