Gold is the precious metal found by different methods of mining, panning, strip mining and etc. it also can be found  in rivers and streams as floating gold. The largest ever found in the USA was 195 pounds. The largest recorded in Austrailia was at about 2100 ounce. They say one from the sea came in at about 2300 ounces. I find it funny that gold from the sea would be any different. As gold is gold regardless where it is found.

There is gold that is found with copper and the copper give the gold a redish color. And gold is of one type...When it is mixed with other minerals you will get the different colors. as found in Black Hills Gold.
