How come you pay an extra cents to get something put on your hamburger but they don't take off the price if you get something taken off?

  1. all the prices are programed into the register.If they change the price they would have to ring it up in a different way which would through off their inventory. It COULD be done but  that would require a manager and would slow things up .

  3. The bonus items such as avocado, grilled onioins, mushrooms, blue cheese are marquee items and cost more.  Tomatoes, pickles and raw onions are considered the basics of a burger and are minuscule in the big bill of dinning.

  4. Yah, no kidding. My husband always gets his plain with a piece of cheese. But of course they always charge for that cheese even though there's nothing else on the burger.

  5. I've always wondered this my self and I worked in a McDonald's.  XTRA cheese and adding tomato were the only thigs you had to pay for like 25 cents I think.  We also charge if people wanted and excesive amount of dipping sauces for nuggets.  etc wanting 3 sauces for a 4 piece nugget.

  6. i've never even thought of that before. you bring up a rele good point. i dont like that much mayo or lettuce, just ketchup n cheese, yet they still charge you. they just try to get as much money from you as possible.
