  1. If it were me, I would take the job at the Grocery Store.  It gives you an opportunity to talk with the Customer a little longer.

  2. gorcery store, you probably wont have to work too late as they close early, plus you wont be around greasy food all day long!

  3. Depending on which grocery store you apply, they usually pay more money than fast food.  Fast food however gives you a more flexible schedule.  I worked at a Mcdonalds as their cashier and loved it.  I preferred it over retail cashier.

  4. Unless you speak Spanish, the grocery store is probably best. Also the back room is much larger to hide in when you run out of work.

  5. Cashier/Grocery Store

  6. Get a job at Subway and you won't smell like greasy food.  You also get free employee meals and a flexible schedule.  It is fast paced and fun!

  7. Fast food :)

  8. grocery store. you will have the ability to move up over time (not as a fry cook but, as a clerk or head clerk or even higher) if you so chose. generally the pay is much better as well , not to mention the raises. grocery store for sure...

  9. Cashier, you will have a better chance to visit with people while working and you won't smell like fried food at the end of the day.

  10. Do the grocery store, you learn more, and have an opportunity to make good money, and be eligible for good benefits in the future.

  11. Working at a restaurant sucks, to be honest. The reason for this is: people can be extremely nice.. but not if they're hungry. I've had menus thrown at me, I've been cussed out in front of customers, I almost got spit on. Also: babies love to cry in restaurants, you have all of about 3 possible job options (if they decide to let you go for something else), the turnover rate is almost disgusting, some people treat you like dirt, there's not very much room for a pay raise, future jobs won't really care that you worked at a restaurant (unless you're applying to another restaurant), customers are horrifyingly picky, you spend enough time cleaning to make you sick, and half of the workers are incompetent.

But I guess it could be fun if, you know, you're into that sort of thing.

Grocery stores will have a lot more benefits.

  12. Depends on the choices and what you prefer...both are good jobs....

  13. Fast food. Free food, easy hours and lots of other kids like you to make friends with.

Restaurant. You will make fast cash from tips!

I worked at both and liked both.

  14. grocery store because really do you want to come home smelling greasy. plus you will probably gain weight at the fast food joint because of the food you get to eat for free. tastes good, but is bad for you. at least in a grocery store you wont smell bad after work unless you dont wear deoderant. plus you get to have benefits after being at most grocery stores for 90 days. the only thing is you will need to pass a drug screening for the grocery store, i dont know you or anything but i know now a days kids do crazy things. but good luck and have fun.
