Fast blinking timer light and tv will not turn on

About two months ago the tv would turn itself on in the middle of the night, I would turn it of with the remote and in the morning you could see the timer light blinking fast. You could not turn the tv back on until the light would go to a slow blink. This worked for about five times in a three day period. Now the tv timer sits there and blinks fast and never goes back to a slow blink so I can turn it back on. I have gone through the trouble shooting codes until I am ready to vomit and I have no hair left after pulling it out talking to the Mitsubishi non help line. Does the tv need to be reprogrammed ? I see it has a place on the front for a card. I have called at least ten tv repair places and they have no clue. John Thomas
