Zheng is a Chinese tennis player, born in July 1983. She turned pro in 2003 and reached a career-high ranking for singles in May 2009, when she became the world No. 15. Zheng was ranked world No. 35 coming into the 2010 Australian Open. In 2008, she was a Wimbledon semi-finalist, and as equalled that performance at the 2010 Australian Open, with the chance to go one better if she can overcome Justine Henin in the semi-finals.
