Fast fingers in playing the piano?

I am now practicing chopin fantasie impromptu, i have a hard time in playing it because of my fingers..my fingers are so stiff and i can't make it play fast.. :( ... How do I make my fingers faster?

Warm up with some scales to loosen your fingers up and then it's just practise, practise, practise I'm afraid! The better you know the piece the faster you will be able to play it as the notes themselves will come automatically and then you can just concentrate on upping the tempo.

I don't play the piano, but I played before this game called O2 Jam, it's an online game version of DJ Max, and it's probably similar to playing the piano, coz I have to move my fingers fast as well. For me, before I start playing, I'd stretch my fingers first, crack knuckles to make sure they are loosen, and just simply let loose my fingers, without really controlling them. If at first you don't succeed, try again =), the more you practice, the better you get.
