Fast food burgers better than restaurants?

Am I the only person who thinks that places like McDonalds and Burger King actually have better hamburgers than nicer restauraunts like Ruby Tuesdays or TGIFridays? It's only cheeseburgers that I feel this way about. Maybe it's because the meat is thinner in fast food burgers. Anyway, does anybody agree?

I rarely buy beef but I would agree with WG, it is cheaper than going to a fancy schmancy restaurant.  Try eating healthier.

It's probably because the low grade burgers are full of fat that smell and taste good, but is very, very bad for your health.

I agree with you, typically I enjoy hamburgers from fast food places better than the burgers from a nicer, sit-down place.

I guess because places like McDonalds and Burger King, specialize on burgers, while other places have more of a variety of meals.

I prefer resteraunt burgers to fast-food ones.  The fast food burgers are normally very greasy.

they're better for you...a big mac has 540 calories, but a ruby tuesday's classic cheeseburger has 1103 calories! (and not including fries)

plus...mcdonalds is cheaper, lol

I agree, I don't think the ones you mention have the greatest beef in the restaurant industry. McDonald's and Burger King have excellent beef. Ruby Tuesdays and TGI Friday have overpriced and underwhelming beef I'd say.

Some restaurants have amazing beef for a good price, especially in the midwest.

I do! I have to say fast food is better then upscale restaurants, but nobody beats a mom and pop diner burger!

When I go to places like Applebee's, I don't normally get burgers, we have a local bakery, which has great cheeseburgers, they make it when you order it.

I totally agree with you 140%..

like for instance I went to Red Robin to try their burger, it was ok.. but not as good as burger king or even Fat Burger.

Most of restaurant, like a fancy one. They put like so many things on it. That is not their fault, cause usually burger just like that. Buns, meat, slices of tomatoes, pickles, onion and cheese. But for some reason, I really loveeeee the fast food burger so much better than at the restaurant. their look alike, but taste so much different :)

I think it may have to do with eating FF burgers much more often than at a regular restaurant...we get used to the ratio of meat to bread, the taste etc. and that is what we come to expect when we order a burger.

I completely agree.  I would rather go through McDonalds and get a meal than go to a sit down place and pay 3 times as much!
