Fast food is so bad for you but it's so god d**n good! Why?

This is a scientific question that i would like to be answered with a scientific answer. If you don't know..then i guess a dumb answer would suffice.

Here's a dumb answer: I think they put nicotine in their cheese.

Here's my best attempt at a good answer: It has a lot to do with conditioning. Bad foods are paired with fun events, for example, cake at a birthday party. Kids love birthday parties, they're fun, so cake is fun. Happy meals have a toy in the box, and come on, they're called "happy" meals! Once your brain is wired to enjoy sugary, salty, oily, and unhealthy foods, you continue to like them for the majority of your life.

A long time ago when humans did more hunting and gathering than grocery shopping, they would look for lots of calorie-rich foods because they needed that nutrition and it was hard to find back then. Today, the need for calories, carbs, and grease is still there. It's all in our programming in our brain. We crave certain tastes, and we dislike others.

the major reliance on salt, sugar and fat makes fast food tasty to most people. They're no worse than any other restaurant, just they get blamed for all of societies ills due to their relatively low cost. These are also ingredients that are fairly cheap and plentiful.

fast food has a lot of added (things)... things such as monosodium glutomate, which actually makes you think the food tastes a lot better than it is... it also has things in it that make you addicted to the food..

and it's weird i used to LOVE fast food.. and now that i hardly ever eat it, it tastes a LOT different than it used to.. it's nasty to me now..

its so good because the taste is so overwhelming and we dont even pay attention to the grease and fat so ya.
