Fast food restaurants in schools?

so my highschool is considering in leasing space to a fast food chain. wat do you think some of the pro's are?

They should lease to Mom and Pop fast foods that will use better quality food ingredients.........and give the kids a more healthy choice.

Hopefully the free lunch people won't be able to have that as a choice and will have to eat the cafeteria school food......as our tax dollars do pay for the free school meals!

I don't know why people are making such a big deal on this 'new' concept.  My school did this over 20 years ago . . . one regular cafeteria, one that sold just junk food, and one that was fast food.  Just like when your an adult, your faced with a choice of what to spend your money on.  Believe me, you would have to give the kid $10 a day to spend on lunch for the kid to eat enough to get fat.  If were worried about this leading to childhood obesity, then why are there so many obese adults???  They are old enough to know better.  I think the bad habits are taught at home.

Having a fast food restaurant in school is setting a bad example. Schools are supposed to be teaching kids that eating too much fast food is not good for you, but if they lease space to a fast food restaurant, they are showing that they do not know what they are teaching, and that they do not care. So having to lease space for a fast food restaurant in school is not a good idea.

I don't think it be a great idea because half of the child will end up obesity.

Might be some things that seem like pro's, but it's really a whole log list of cons.  It's up to our schools to provide healthy foods as the primary choices.  I wish my school had done so - maybe I wouldn't struggle with obesity now.

Pro's: The kids are going to love it!

Con's: The parents will be a little bit concerned about it. Especially, in terms of their children's health.
